A DBA should be capable of handling large databases. Should manage large number of users across location
Must have 2 - 3 years prior experience working in a sql server 2005/ 2000.
Must be able to exhibit understanding of SQL Server Best Practices guidelines
Prior experience in strategies and approaches for physical database design, performance optimization/tuning and
scaling
Should have strong experience in SQL 2005
Hands on experience in SQL DBA role
Writing queries Using T-SQL
Writing stored procedures
Data transfer Service Packaging (DTS)
Trouble shooting skills
Database Backup/Restore
Should have good experience in BCP, replication, installation, tuning, Mirroring, Security, Schema, SSIS, Backup,
Disaster Recovery, DTS
Handling large databases managing large number of users across locations
Work Experience with production database and clients-server applications |
